The 2nd UPLIFT School, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy,” is a premier six-day residency designed to bridge the gap between advanced AI algorithmic research and its clinical application in radiotherapy and particle therapy.
A Curriculum of Excellence
The programme features 16 visionary scientific talks delivered by global experts, covering topics from deep learning architectures to real-time adaptive planning and other cutting-edge AI applications redefining radiation and particle therapy.
Hands-on learning will be at the heart of the event through the AI Academy sessions, where theory meets practice. These intensive workshops are tailored for beginner developers and clinical users, equipping participants with practical coding skills and essential toolkits to build robust, radiotherapy-specific AI models.
Beyond technical expertise, the School also focuses on professional growth. Four dedicated career development sessions will support Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) and students with mentorship, networking strategies, and guidance for building successful scientific careers.
AI4RT Joint Symposium
The week will culminate in the prestigious Joint Symposium on “AI for RT” (AI4RT), a two-day summit dedicated to exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing the precision, speed, and efficacy of radio- and particle therapy treatments.
The symposium will showcase original research and innovative studies from the international community.
Empowering the Next Generation
The School will host a Poster Gallery featuring 30 exclusive slots for ESRs and students to present their research, fostering high-level scientific discussion and collaboration.
To encourage broad participation, two travel grants will be awarded to the authors of the top-ranked abstracts.
In addition to the scientific programme, collaboration and creativity will be further inspired by the “Hike and Think Trail”, a unique team-building activity set in the Swiss Alps, providing an exceptional environment for networking and fresh perspectives.
Why Attend?
The combination of education, mentorship, practical training, and high-level scientific exchange makes the 2nd UPLIFT School and AI4RT Symposium a unique opportunity for anyone committed to advancing AI applications in radiotherapy and particle therapy.
Registration and abstract submission will open at the beginning of April.
